(Archived) Pediatric Occupational Therapy

Responsibilities: Primary duties include the evaluation and treatment of newborn/pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders and to integrate swallowing study results in order to deliver safe, effective services. Responsible for evaluating, planning, directing, and administering pediatric occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. Administers treatments and physical agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. Holistically address the physical, psychosocial, and cultural factors associated with feeding, eating, and swallowing.

_Requirements: _AOTA Specialty Certification in Feeding, Eating and Swallowing with 5+ years experience in newborn/pediatric feeding and swallowing plus have experience collaborating with physicians and other professionals who impact the feeding, eating, or swallowing needs of clients.
