Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Orlando, Florida on a PRN (as-needed) basis. This flexible opportunity is ideal for a motivated OT looking to provide high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining scheduling autonomy. In this role, you will provide essential therapy services to a diverse patient population — supporting individuals recovering from injury, managing chronic conditions, and improving daily living skills and independence.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical, cognitive, and functional needs to determine functional limitations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with achievable, meaningful goals aligned with each patient's needs.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to support independence in activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, adaptive strategies, and assistive devices to promote continuity of care and long-term wellness.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated, comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain compliance with ethical, legal, and facility policies related to patient care and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active Florida OT license or eligibility for licensure.
- CPR certification (preferred).
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation abilities.
- Previous clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a flexible, as-needed schedule.
Work Environment:
- PRN/as-needed position with flexible, variable scheduling based on facility needs.
- Ability to commit to shifts with reasonable notice and adapt to changing caseloads.
- Potential work settings include hospitals, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, or home health.
