Travel PET/CT Technologist (Dual Certification)

Job Description

Our PET/CT Technologists are a crucial part of our team, providing exceptional care and service to our patients. They are experts in communication, connecting with patients, and ensuring that they fully understand the procedure and feel comfortable and at ease. Our techs have a caring attitude and a keen attention to detail, always focused on patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction throughout the entire imaging process.

In this position, our technologists are responsible for a variety of duties, including but not limited to:

1. Ensuring patient safety by pre-screening for contraindications, using aseptic injection technique, and following radiation safety/regulations, including proper documentation and technique when working with radioactive materials/patients.
2. Producing high-quality diagnostic images that meet the highest standards of accuracy and precision.
3. Effectively communicating with customers and/or radiologists to ensure that all imaging needs are met and all questions are answered.
4. Training new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators to ensure that our team is always delivering the highest level of care.
5. Troubleshooting the scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment (including monitors, PACS, coils, etc.) to ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and any issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid state driver’s license required, as applicable.
• Must be dual certified as a Nuclear Medicine and Computed Tomography Technologist, with either NMTCB or ARRT(N) and ARRT(CT) certifications.
• State license required, as applicable.
• A minimum of one year of PET and/or PET/CT and either X-ray or CT experience required.

Requirements:

BLS AHA

Minimum of 1-2 years PET/PETCT imaging experience required.

High school diploma or GED required

Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred

Able and willing to work at multiple locations in FL and GA?

Certification in Nuclear Medicine required (CNMT )
