Nuclear Medicine Technologist II | California

Part Time | Days | 8 hour shifts | 24 hours/week

$67.11 to $83.44 / hour + Benefits

Weekdays + rotating weekends


About the Role:

Nuclear Medicine Technologist II will assist in the organization, supervision and training activities of the technical operation.

Responsibilities

  • Sound understanding of anatomical positioning
  • Demonstrates the ability to analyze difficult situations,
  • React properly and interact effectively with the departments medical, technical and clerical staff
  • Demonstrates commitment to service excellence and problem ownership
  • Manages and communicates confidential patient information
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Assist with patient/procedure scheduling
  • Explains nature of exam to patients to ensure cooperation


Qualifications:

  • One year experience in an acute care hospital is preferred, which may include clinical hours during technologist training program.
  • 3-5 years clinical nuclear medicine experience.
  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
  • Other: Completion of a nuclear medicine technologist training program
  • OR Other: Completion of radiologic technologist training program with NMTCB or ARRT(N).
  • ARRT - Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire
  • OR NMT-Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Upon Hire
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider within 60 Days of hire
  • RHN-Radiologic Health Nuclear Medicine (Department of Public Health) (required if working in California)
