Job Summary
We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Cytotechnologist. You will evaluate patients' cell samples and are trained to notice subtle changes to accurately detect precancerous, malignant, and infectious conditions.
Job Description
- Examine cytopathology specimens relative to pap smears, normal & abnormal.
- Document results in laboratory information system, accessioning, preparing and slide staining.
Skills Required
- 1 year + experience in cytotechnology.
- Possible clinical lab technologist with cytotechnology experience and knowledge with lab specimen process
Education/Training/Certifications
- Associate degree (Community College, MBO)
- Valid license to practice as a Cytotechnologist issued by NYSED, Primary Source Verification required. BLS preferred.
- New York State Education, Cytotechnologist or CLT license and registration.
- BLS preferred.
Pay Rate
- $47.00 per hour
