(Archived) Histotech needed just outside of NYC - DAY Shift

Pathology Lab just outside of New York City looking for HT/HTL- DAY SHIFT Minimum A.A.S. degree. High school diploma or equivalent required. ASCP certification preferred. Licensed by New York State Education Department (NYSED) as a Certified Histology (or Clinical Laboratory) Technician, required. Minimum of one (1) year experience in laboratory histological procedures. Performs procedures necessary for the processing specimens for microscopic histological examination including performing gross examination and dictation of biopsy and non-complex surgical specimens requiring indirect supervision by a Pathologist. Ensure specimen integrity upon arrival and throughout the entire process. Dictate a gross description for each biopsy specimen, dissect, and prepare tissue for cassettes. Gross core needle biopsy and all anatomical pathology specimens (under the supervision of a Pathologist Assistant and /or pathologist).
