Our client near Long Island, New York is searching for multiple Medical Technologists to join their expanding laboratory family. Currently there are full-time opportunities on both 2nd (evening) or 3rd (night) shifts. Candidates have have a current NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license (or at least be in process of obtaining). Candidates of all experience levels, including new graduates, will be considered for this role but a Bachelor's degree is a must. Responsibilities of the Medical Technologist:

• Perform and interpret routine diagnostic microbiological, virological, serological, chemical, immunohematological, hematological or biophysical procedures in all areas that performs and interprets routine diagnostic serology procedures.

• Follow the labs procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results, follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and safety guides as described in their respective guidelines, analyze specimens using approved testing procedures, review, and release test results.

Requirements of the Medical Technologist:

• BS in Medical Technology preferred; or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology.
• Must have NYS Licensure as a clinical laboratory technologist
