Responsibilities of the Flow Cytometry Technologist

• Experience with operations of BD flow cytometers.
• Knowledge of basic statistical analysis and software for flow cytometry.
• Ability to prioritize required duties and responsibilities.
• Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram or schedule form.

Requirements of the Blood Bank Medical Technologist

• Must have a Bachelors of Science Degree in Medical Technology/Immunology/Biology or other Life Science disciplines from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience relevant to clinical flow cytometry experience (flow cytometry, hematology, immunology, HLA cross-match).
• Basic computer skills: knowledge of MS Word, Excel and laboratory information systems.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
