Medical Technologist - Clinical Laboratory Scientist - (Med Tech - MT - CLS)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $1400.00 - 2000.00

Independently performs qualitative and quantitative testsin assigned section(s), following established guidelines and predeterminedcriteria... Performs tests and calculations, documents and reports results. Followsestablished QA/QC policies and procedures. Operates, calibrates, conductsperformance checks and maintains laboratory instruments and equipment.Maintains procedures, records and logs. Identifies problems that mayadversely affect test performance and/or results and uses knowledge, deductiveskills and judgment to troubleshoot and resolve them. Recognizes abnormalor unusual pre-analytical, post-analytical and post-analytical problems.Specialist: Performs duties and responsibilities only in specialized areafor which individual is licensed.Education/Experience:• Medical Technologist - Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or relatedscience and successful completion of an approved Medical Technology internshipprogram, OR• Medical Laboratory Technician - Associate degree from an accreditedSchool of Clinical Laboratory Sciences and completion of an approved clinicallaboratory internship. Certification/Licensure• Certified as an MT/MLS or MLT by one of the National Commission of HealthCertifying Agencies or by an agency recognized by the Hawaii Department ofHealth Laboratories Branch.• State license as a Technologist or Technician. Skills:• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both in verbal and writtenform.• Ability to work effectively both independently and with a team.• Excellent customer service skills.

Required Qualifications

Education/Experience:


• Medical Technologist - Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related

• Medical Laboratory Technician - Associate degree from an accredited
School of Clinical Laboratory Sciences and completion of an approved clinical
laboratory internship. Certification/Licensure


• Certified as an MT/MLS or MLT by one of the National Commission of Health
Certifying Agencies or by an agency recognized by the Hawaii Department of
Health Laboratories Branch.


• State license as a Technologist or Technician. Skills:


• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both in verbal and written

Preferred Qualifications
No housing, travel, car or transportation expenses covered. Must be paid for by agency's all-inclusive rate. Please build in travel time to allow a one (business) day window for travel clearance by our Employee Health department, if traveler is coming from the mainland.
