Job Description
Full-time Medical Technologist needed at a top facility in New York!

1st shift Monday-Friday, with some weekend and holiday on-call rotation.
Education Requirements/Experience/Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree and Medical Technologist License from New York State Education Department required. Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related science preferred. Although not required, experience in DNA extraction, PCR and Molecular techniques is preferred. Blood bank experience a plus!
Summary of Position:
This position will be responsible for receiving, ordering, preparing, and assaying laboratory samples and performing prompt, accurate, and reliable laboratory procedures on patient specimens, flow cytometry and antibody testing. In addition, the Medical Technologist will evaluate, interpret, and report test results. Knowledge of current medical terminology and full range of laboratory tests and equipment required. Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with medical staff, patients and clients. Strong problem solving abilities required.
