Job Description
Seeking experienced Medical Technologist in Revillagigedo Island, Alaska
Join a critical access hospital servicing rural, remote and predominantly native south-Southeast Alaska patient populations. The ideal candidate will have been to or have ties to Alaska and a desire to stay for a permanent and full-time position!
Additional info:
- Responsible for performing complex laboratory procedures and tests in areas such as blood bank, chemistry, hematology, immunology and microbiology, using established protocols and procedures
- Monitors, screens and troubleshoots devices, tests and procedures, recognizing anomalies, and making corrections to ensure quality results
- Provides (CAP, HIPAA, etc) compliance support
- Maintains appropriate records for specimens, tests and data. Utilizes computer systems in reporting and documenting analysis
Requirements:
- ASCP MT required
- 2+ years clinical experience performing high complexity testing in a clinical laboratory department required
- Bachelors degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biological Science or an equivalent related science required
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts on a Variable schedule, days, evenings or nights as needed
