Job Description

A Wisconsin-based facility is currently seeking a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to assist with temporary coverage, for a minimum of 3 months. A small community with a rich history that borders Lake Superior, which is one of the Great Lakes. They have local transportation options that are provided by a non-profit. Outdoor experiences include, but not limited to hiking, biking on the various trails, several parks, boating on the great lake, and lots of camping options. The community has lots of local events, especially during the upcoming warmer months. Assignment requirements include phlebotomy experience and experience working all general areas of the lab with experience performing the essential functions in blood bank and micro. Candidate must be ASCP certified or have an equivalent certification from a nationally accredited organization. No license required in the state of Wisconsin for a Medical Lab professional. Applicants must meet the education requirements to comply with CLIA and CAP regulations. An ideal candidate is one that is experienced working in a busy hospital laboratory, who demonstrates knowledge in laboratory procedures and best practices; and a willingness to learn new processes. They prefer the type of traveler that will be dependable and has a strong ability to multi-task in a clinical lab setting. Familiarity with Chemistry and Hematology analyzers would be a benefit, and experience with Epic Beaker (LIS) would also be a plus, though not required.
