(Archived) MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST - 40 HR Langlade Hospital
Job Description
Aspirus Langlade Hospital is currently seeking a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician to support our Laboratory Department. This is a full-time night shift position and will work 7 days on/7 days off schedule.
Qualifications for each position are as follows:
Medical Technologist
- Minimum of 24 semester hours (36 quarter hours) are required in chemistry, biological sciences, mathematics or physics
- Laboratory training culminating in national certification as: MT (ASCP), CLT (NCAMLP), RMT (ISCLT), MT (AMT) or in the process of obtaining (within 90 days of hire)
- Generally four-year college degree or equivalent
- Graduation from a school of Medical Technology and certification as outlined above
- Prefer a minimum of one year experience in a hospital clinical laboratory or equivalent
Medical Laboratory Technician
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two years of approved laboratory training with certification as CLT (ASCP), RLT (ISCLT), MLT (ASCP), CLT (HEW) or equivalent
- Must have certification upon hire or obtain within 90 days of hire
- Prefer a minimum of one year experience in a hospital clinical laboratory or equivalent
