Job Description
Looking for a generalist laboratory role where your work has a direct impact on the community you serve? A hospital in Central Idaho, is seeking a full-time Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist (MT/MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join its laboratory team.
Surrounded by mountains and rivers, this location offers easy access to hiking, fishing, rafting, and skiing alongside the close connections of a small community.
Position Overview
This is a hands-on generalist opportunity supporting patient care across chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, and blood bank/transfusion services. Responsibilities include performing and reporting testing, processing specimens, maintaining quality control, troubleshooting equipment, and communicating critical results to the care team.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree in Medical Technology/ Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technician
- Certification: MT, MLS or MLT ASCP (or equivalent)
- Experience: Ideally 2 years of hospital-based experience
