A leading healthcare organization located in Southeast Michigan, approximately one hour from Ann Arbor, is seeking experienced Medical Technologists (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLS), or Clinical Laboratory Scientists (CLS) to join its laboratory team.

There are two full-time openings available, including a traditional second-shift position and a unique Baylor weekend schedule.

Please note: This position is open to MT/MLS/CLS candidates only.

Schedule

Opening #1 – Second Shift

• Full-time position
• Second shift
• Exact schedule to be discussed during the interview process
• Shift differential available

Opening #2 – Baylor Shift

• Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• One additional shift during the week
• 36 hours worked per week
• Paid for 40 hours per week
• Weekend-focused schedule
• Shift differential available

Compensation

• $38.00–$41.00/hour, based on experience
• Additional shift differential for applicable shifts
• Baylor schedule: 36 hours worked but compensated as 40 hours

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing accurately and efficiently according to established procedures and quality standards.
• Process, evaluate, and analyze patient specimens.
• Review laboratory results for accuracy and identify abnormal or critical findings.
• Follow established protocols for result verification and reporting.
• Perform quality control testing and document corrective actions as required.
• Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
• Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records.
• Communicate critical laboratory results promptly to appropriate clinical personnel.
• Prioritize testing based on clinical urgency and established turnaround-time requirements.
• Maintain appropriate specimen identification, handling, and processing procedures.
• Follow laboratory safety, quality assurance, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and laboratory projects.
• Work collaboratively with laboratory and clinical teams to support quality patient care.
• Perform additional laboratory duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• MT, MLS, or CLS credential required.
• Candidates must have appropriate education and laboratory credentials for the position.
• Previous clinical laboratory experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory testing procedures and quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work the assigned second-shift or Baylor weekend schedule.
• Candidates must be comfortable working overnight hours for the Baylor position.

MLT candidates will not be considered.
