NEW Special Chemistry Medical Technologist Opening
Location: Nashville, Tennessee
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Hiring an experienced Medical Technologist to join a Special Chemistry department in a dynamic clinical laboratory setting. This role is ideal for a highly skilled technologist who is confident working independently, committed to quality, and comfortable troubleshooting complex laboratory processes.
Key Responsibilities

Perform all duties of a Medical Technologist I independently, demonstrating strong clinical competency

Receive, process, and analyze specimens according to departmental protocols

Produce, interpret, and report accurate and precise test results

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues that may impact test performance or reporting

Perform routine instrument maintenance and assist with method troubleshooting
-
Assist in designing and updating procedures to improve testing efficiency and accuracy

Support quality assurance and quality control documentation and monitoring

Education & Certification Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science (or medical technology)

Valid ASCP or AMT certification required

Ongoing continuing education required to maintain certification and licensure
