A highly respected healthcare facility in Owosso, Michigan is seeking an experienced Lead Blood Bank Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) to join their laboratory team. This is a full-time, day shift opportunity for a skilled technologist to step into a leadership role within the blood bank department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations in the Blood Bank, ensuring timely and accurate test results

• Perform advanced testing in immunohematology and transfusion services

• Train and mentor new staff and students

• Evaluate and implement new procedures and equipment

• Maintain quality control, compliance, and regulatory standards

• Provide guidance and support to laboratory personnel across multiple lab sections

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field

• ASCP (or equivalent) certification as MT or MLS required

• Minimum 3–5 years of clinical lab experience, with strong blood bank background

• Previous supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred

• Strong knowledge of blood bank regulations, practices, and equipment

• Excellent attention to detail, leadership, and communication skills
