Job Summary:
A healthcare facility in Burlington, ND, is seeking a Lead Medical Technologist to oversee and manage the laboratory team during evening shifts. This position requires a professional with leadership experience, including at least 5 years of bench experience, to ensure high-quality laboratory services, mentor staff, and maintain efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory or lead experience in a clinical laboratory setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of medical technologists during evening shifts.

• Perform laboratory tests and procedures across various disciplines, including chemistry, hematology, and microbiology.

• Provide training, support, and mentorship to laboratory staff, ensuring they adhere to protocols and quality standards.

• Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in the lab.

• Monitor lab workflow to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety guidelines.

• Maintain accurate documentation of test results, quality control, and laboratory processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field.

• At least 5 years of bench experience in a clinical laboratory setting.

• Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role.

• National certification as a Medical Technologist (MT-ASCP or equivalent).

• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation:

• $28-$39/hr, depending on experience.
