Manager Clinical Documentation Integrity

Currently looking to fill a full-time, permanent Manager Clinical Documentation Integrity position available in Springfield, Oregon.
- Responsibilities of the Manager Clinical Documentation Integrity
Manages the coordination of the activities of a business unit or department with responsibility for results including costs, methods, and staffing. Responsible for operational performance, quality, service environment and regulatory compliance, also may include the CDI reconciliation process. Receives assignment in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Responsible for the organization, operation, leadership, staff supervision, and management of clinical documentation specialists and reconcilers, as guided by the CDI Director.
Requirements of the Manager Clinical Documentation Integrity
- Manages the daily operations of the CDI program and/or reconciliation process. Serves in an advisory capacity regarding coding and CDI coordination of work effort to resolve outstanding issues and/or CDI needs for the region
- Actively participates and leads team meetings and education of staff as needed. Communicates with HIM Coding Manager to resolve discrepancies, and involves CDI Director as needed. Co-leader of Task Force with Coding Management.
- Leads the staff in their performance of accurate and timely record reviews, admission/continued stay reviews using Compliant Documentation Program Management® guidelines. Recognizes opportunities and educates staff around documentation improvement and coding guidelines.
