Payor Relations Representative

Exempt, Full-Time

Our corporate headquarters is located in downtown Louisville, Kentucky and we are currently looking for a Payor Relations Representative.

As the Payor Relations Representative, you will be a member of the corporate Financial Services team. The representative will be responsible for supporting the Managed Care function of Springstone which includes, but is not limited to, assisting in (i) hospital and physician contract negotiations, (ii) single case agreements, and (iii) credentialing; serving as the liaison between hospital and payors on administrative matters; market research for new market development.

Job Details:
Under the direction of the VP of Finance, this position is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships between the Payors, Springstone and the providers affiliated with Springstone. The position will also play a role in the development of strategic relationships with health systems, State and local governments, Accountable Care Organizations and other strategic partners.

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a Business related field of study
* At least three years of managed care related provider relations and/or network development experience required;
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office;
* Must communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing;
* Valid driver's license preferred.

Job Duties :
* Research and prepare organization in collaboration with applicable functional leaders, for federal/state health reform, plus regulatory issues in relation to health benefits, Payor products and reimbursement methodologies.
* Work under the Vice President of Finance to support service functions related to managed care for both hospital and physician entities.
* Ability to think critically and logically to assess and resolve payor related issues.
* Develop strong relationships with key Payors to advance Springstone's goals of partnering with strategic providers in our markets.
* Prepare and analyze data from multiple sources; compile meaningful reports to identify trends.
* Maintain system repository of all managed care payor legal and administrative documents.
* Assist in compiling demographic and utilization data of new/potential markets.
* Assist in evaluation and contract modeling with managed care plans in support of Payor negotiations.
* Ability to evaluate Single Case Agreement and to determine if meets established criteria.

Other responsibilities and duties may be assigned based on the progression of the company's needs.
