Currently looking for an experienced Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist/CDI Specialist to work in a midsize acute care hospital. This is in a desirable popular city in Oregon. Interested candidates should be a medical professional with their RN or MD. 2+ years of clinical documentation improvement experience, ICD-10 and DRGs required. Minimum of one-year auditing experience strongly encouraged.

Responsibilities of the CDI Specialist
- Provides support in an effort to support accuracy and quality in the patient records.
- Ensures that coded diagnoses are an accurate reflection of the patient's clinical status and care.
Requirements of the Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist
At least one of the following is required: BSN, RN, RHIA, RHIT, MD or comparable.
The following are preferred: CDIP, CCDS, CCS and ICD-10 certification or designation
Two years’ experience in providing physician and coder education in an acute care setting preferred.
Previous experience working in a clinical documentation improvement department or as a consultant strongly encouraged
