Medical Laboratory Technician - (Med Lab Tech - MLT)
StartDate: 09/20/2021Available Shifts: 8/10/12 N Pay Rate: $1400.00 - 1700.00
Caribbean Blue Scrubs, closed toe shoes. Must be ASCP Certified. 25 bed Critical access hospital. Generalist MLT or MLS. Prefer experience with the Hematology, UA and Coag instrumentation; Cerner experience a plus. Phlebotomy experience preferred. 2+ years of experience. 50-mile radius rule. No more than a 3-month work history gap in the last year. Type of equipment : Abbott Architects -Chemistry; Stago Compact and Satellite - Coagulation; Sysmex XN series and Cellavision - Hematology; Iricell and Clinitek - Urinalysis; BacTecFX, Solana PCR, and assorted kit tests - Microbiology; MTS Gel Workstation - Transfusion Services. Documentation system: Cerner/PathNET/PowerChart. Patient Experience requirements: Phlebotomy experience. Procedures performed on unit: General automated chemistry; assorted kit tests; basic transfusion services (Type& Screen, blood product dispense, transfusion reaction work-up); blood culture processing and plating; gram stains; culture plating; PCR assays for respiratory, Strep confirmation and Cdiff, assays; CBC; manual differentials; retics; body fluid counts and diffs; ESR; Urinalysis; automated and manual microscopy; confirmatory testing; urine drug screens; basic coagulation testing; sample processing for reference laboratory testing; phlebotomy. Newer Sysmex Hematology analyzers with a Cellavision platform with for manual differentials.
