Medical Laboratory Technician - (Med Lab Tech - MLT)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 10 D/E Pay Rate: $1400.00 - 1700.00

The North Shore Health Laboratory serves our Critical Access Hospital, Emergency Room, Care Center, and Outpatients. Lab Tech candidates must be proficient in Phlebotomy, Hematology, and Chemistry. It is preferred for them to also have experience in Basic Microbiology (direct gram stains, set-ups, etc.) and Basic Blood Bank (Emergency Release and possibly MTS gel system). We are looking for a self-starter that is good at multitasking, pays close attention to detail, and preferably has experience working in a rural, full-service laboratory. Our lab has low volumes but has several manual systems so there are a lot of 'processes' to adjust to (in addition to the standard lab testing expectations). The candidate must be able to work independently and as a team and be willing to help will all types of lab duties (we do not have phlebotomists etc.). Since North Shore Health has an attached Long Term Care facility, all staff are required to practice stringent COVID-19 precautions, follow current facility requirements, and participate in regular COVID-19 employee testing (per CMS regulations).
