Medical Laboratory Technologist

Location: Wayne County, GA

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: 12-hour shifts over a 2-week period

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team in Wayne County, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and analyses in order to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Responsibilities:

• Collect, process, and analyze laboratory specimens
• Perform quality control and quality assurance measures on laboratory tests
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
• Communicate laboratory test results to physicians and other healthcare professionals
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and procedures
• Maintain accurate records of laboratory tests and procedures

Qualifications:

• MLT (ASCP) certification or MLT classification as recognized by GDCH with certification, AMT, AAB, or HEW (Required)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and laboratory information systems
• Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and procedures
