Job Description
The Assistant Laboratory Manager works closely with the Laboratory Manager in facilitating the oversight of laboratory functions and personnel, including satellite locations with laboratory services. The Assistant Laboratory Manager will oversee the proficiency program, the quality control program as well as will be responsible for establishing new instrumentation and writing procedures in order to maintain CLIA and State Requirements. This laboratory includes the following departments: Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Microbiology, Allergy testing, Autoimmune testing, Cepheid, Reference area and Phlebotomy.
For consideration, applicants MUST have his or her BS degree as well as Medical Technologist/MLS Certification through ASCP (or equivalent). In addition, applicants must have at least 5 years of supervisory or management experience ideally within a high complexity laboratory environment.
