NEW Clinical Laboratory Scientist Opening at a 100-bed general medical surgical hospital located an hour outside of Bakersfield, California! This non-profit, small hospital offers a full range of services including physical therapy, radiology, respiratory and surgery. This hospital is committed to it’s mission to provide high quality patient care, services and facilities that respond to consumer, physician and community needs.

This is a permanent, full time, 3 x 12 hour shift position (with some flexibility). For consideration, candidates must have his or her California CLS license and have blood bank experience. Performs and observes tests on patient specimens and correctly records results. Must be able to operate a variety of clinical laboratory equipment. Must be conscientious with regard to policies and procedures, has knowledge of federal and state regulations and is capable of working under pressure. Shifts may vary requiring staff flexibility. Must be able to effectively communicate in English; both verbal and written. Must have good interpersonal skills and interface professionally, tactfully and respectfully with patients, staff, and the general public. Basic computer skills required.
