Job Duties and Responsibilities

Vascular Ultrasound Technologist job responsibilities include:

  • Prepare patients for exams
  • Perform ultrasound exams of the vascular system
  • Compare patients’ current scans to previous scans
  • Assist physicians in the diagnosis of disorders affecting arterial circulation and reflux studies for venous insufficiency
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to produce images of the motion, shape, and composition of veins
  • Ensure images produced by the ultrasound machine is satisfactory for diagnostic purposes while making machine adjustments as required
  • Travel between our local clinics, assisting the physician and MA in conducting diagnostic testing

Qualifications

Vascular Ultrasound Technologist required skills & qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Certified Vascular Ultrasound Technologist
  • 3-4 years of experience in this field is required
