Full-time Cytotechnologist needed at a top facility in New York!

Job Summary:
Performs cytological procedures and examination and any other such tests including maintaining equipment and records and performing quality assurance activities related to examination performance, and which require the exercise of independent judgment and responsibility, as determined by the Department. Provides prompt and accurate laboratory test results on cytological specimens to providers and internal departments. Prepares samples for examination and performs testing following established procedures. Correlates knowledge and understands theory and technical elements of testing to solve problems and answer questions effectively and efficiently.

Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology from an accredited cytotechnology program.
* Licensure by NYS SED or licensure eligible with a limited permit or limited license as a Cytotechnologist.
* Experience in standard laboratory methodologies required. Previous Clinical Laboratory experience preferred.
* Requires the ability to provide high quality laboratory service in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Demonstrates good communication skills, the ability to organize and prioritize workload and work with minimal supervision.
