Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications: A Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD with a focus in toxicology, chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology or related field. A minimum of five (5) years of business growth in responsibility working in a high throughput production laboratory environment and a minimum of two (2) years of success in a leadership role in an LCMSMS confirmation laboratory, required. A strong background with LCMSMS experience is required with specific knowledge of maintenance and method development.

Overview:
The Team Lead – Confirmation Laboratory/R&D is responsible for reviewing, developing and maintaining Team member training and Standard Operating Procedures for the confirmation laboratory and R&D. Coordinating schedules and tasks for team members is a key piece for this role. The challenges facing the Team Lead are ensuring resources keep up with workload, successfully improving communication between team members within an environment of trust and collaboration, maintenance of equipment and continually improving workflow to meet production deadlines. The environment for this role is fast paced while maintaining complete accuracy and working with the Laboratory Director in making decisions. The sample volume is growing at a very fast pace requiring constant attention to team resources for hiring

Objectives
1. Primary objective is to effectively lead team to achieve reporting of all samples within the TAT (18 hours) every
day with 100% accuracy.
2. Continually maintain and troubleshoot issues on LCMSMS; develop new methods and improve current methods
in collaboration with R&D team to increase both sensitivity and efficiency.
3. Assess status of all current processes. During the first 90 days, conduct a complete operational review of all
processes, procedures, methods and tools to determine adequacy to meet the performance objectives of the
team. Identify key problem areas, bottleneck, technical challenges, resource constraints, and metrics. Also,
during the first 90 days evaluate all team members’ capabilities regarding on-going projects and team needs.
Establish developmental, individual metrics and re-organizational plans as necessary to strengthen the whole
group to meet the primary objective.
4. Identify and address any problems with team communication, within 24 to 48 hours. Critical short-term
problems affecting the department include; effective and consistent communication within the team, across
shifts and with the Screening Lab, R&D, IT and Customer Support teams. Provide guidance and decision-making
in helping resolve these issues, using Level 10 meetings and One-on-One meetings effectively
