Job Description

Full-time Laboratory Director needed at a top facility in West Virginia!
(Reference Code: KAM)

Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a biological or chemical science required. Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years management experience required.
* WV License required. MT(ASCP) or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities include directing and coordinating the operations of the Laboratory Department. The areas include performance and testing in hematology, chemistry, blood bank, microbiology, blood processing, pathology, and histology as well as a significant lab outreach program. Must demonstrate a strong degree of independent judgment and decision-making skills as well as creativity and resourcefulness. Must be able to complete projects in a timely manner and demonstrate the ability to select, train, motivate and develop subordinates. Must exhibit the ability to keep current with skills in laboratory technology and management. Must assess and evaluate care/services provided, staffing levels, competency and educational needs of all employees. Must be able to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication and development and implementation of organizational and departmental policies, procedures, goals and objectives. Must maintain an environment for performance improvement and must be responsible to adapt to organizational change and community needs.
