A Top health system south of San Francisco, CA is seeking a Lead Chemistry CLS to join their team! This is a full time position offering competitive compensation and benefits.
Position Overview:
This Lead CLS (Clinical Laboratory Scientist) is responsible for evaluating and implementing new tests, monitoring CAP survey performance, administer annual competency test, and maintaining quality for all testing procedures for the Chemistry section of the Clinical Laboratory. In addition, the Lead CLS will assist the Laboratory Manager and the Medical Laboratory Director to select and evaluate new hematology analyzers and conduct annual test procedure review.
This Lead CLS reports directly to the Laboratory Manager.
Qualifications:
A baccalaureate degree in clinical laboratory or related sciences, with one-year hospital clinical training in an approved program. Valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license. At least two years recent working experience in the Chemistry section of a clinical laboratory. Must have computer skills and literacy.
