Top teaching hospital in Central New York is looking for a Medical Technologist with their NYS License to join their team in the Core Lab! The department is looking for a Core Lab Manager who is interested in taking a leadership role in a setting that is primed to help the ideal candidate continue to develop their skill set in the Laboratory in a leadership position!

This position is located in between Syracuse and Albany, NY.

Shift: Days

Qualifications:

- NY State Licensed

- At least 3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist.

- Preferably at least 2 year of Supervisory Experience in the Clinical Laboratory

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Network Director, Laboratory, to provide internal and external leadership to the management of Laboratory Services, and to participate as a member of the Management Team in such a manner that the organization is able to fulfill its mission on a day-to-day basis and over the longer term.

This position has responsibility of a departmental manager. It is directly responsible for Laboratory Services that include the Clinical Laboratory areas of Chemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology (Core Laboratory Services).

Additionally, this position is responsible for providing program recommendations, overall technical and regulatory oversight from external organizations to the other department managers/supervisors who are responsible for providing laboratory testing outside laboratory areas listed above within the Hospital Network.
