In this role, you will perform tasking in specific areas of radiology such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) sonography, mammography, computed tomography (CT), nuclear medicine, and radiation therapy.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
X-Ray Technologist responsibilities include:
- Execute high-quality x-ray exams to fulfill provider’s orders in compliance with the principles of ALARA
- Ad hoc pregnancy screening with necessary follow up
- Daily examination counts for all x-rays and dexa scans
- Bone density examinations as ordered by providers
- Demonstrate highest quality care and customer service while maintaining efficiency and efficacy
- Discuss changes to orders as necessary in order to ensure proper examinations based on the best interests and symptoms of the patient
- Field patient questions and concerns related to the exam
Qualifications
X-Ray Technologist required skills & qualifications include:
- At least 2 years in a clinical care setting
- Either associates or bachelor’s degree in Radiology
- Have a current Radiologic Technologist license
- Valid AART certification
