Currently looking to hire a Core Lab Manager to oversee the complex sections of our lab. Previous leadership experience as well as LEAN skills & running projects is a plus!

Job Summary: Reporting directly to the Network Director, Laboratory, to provide internal and external leadership to the management of the hospital's Laboratory Services, and to participate as a member of the Management Team in such a manner that the organization is able to fulfill its mission on a day-to-day basis and over the longer term. This position has responsibility of a departmental manager. It is directly responsible for Laboratory Services that include the Clinical Laboratory areas of Chemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology (Core Laboratory Services). Additionally, this position is responsible for providing program recommendations, overall technical and regulatory oversight from external organizations to the other department managers/supervisors who are responsible for providing laboratory testing outside laboratory areas listed above within the health system.

Minimum Requirements:
- Licensure by NYS SED as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist required
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP) preferred- Varied Laboratory experience, especially in Chemistry, Hematology and Microbiology required.
- Six years of experience after BS degree is required.
- Three years of supervisory or managerial experience in Chemistry, Hematology or Microbiology is preferred.
