NEW Laboratory Manager Opening at an Award Winning Hospital in Central Georgia! This large hospital offers over 50 specialties and is a Magnet Designated hospital for nursing excellence worldwide! This hospital is also one of the premier teaching hospitals in the US and offers residency-training programs as well advanced training for nursing students. This hospital is looking to hire a permanent and full time, experienced Laboratory Manager to oversee Microbiology and Blood Bank Departments! The Laboratory Manager provides direction to clinical laboratory supervisors, technical leaders, specialists, technologists, technicians and technical assistants assuring the efficient administration and technical function of the Blood Bank and Microbiology sections of the laboratory. Evaluates and institutes new technology and test procedures as needed. For consideration, applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology (or a related field) as well as previous experience in blood bank and microbiology (hospital-based preferred). In addition, applicants MUST have a certification as a MT or MLS or BB or SBB or M by the Board of Registry of ASCP.
