Ideal Candidate: An FL Licensed and ASCP Certified Medical Technologist with at least 5 Years of Clinical Laboratory experience. At least 3 Years in a Supervisory/Managerial position.

Job Summary

Reports to the Administrative Lab Director. Responsible for the technical and day to day operations of the Clinical Laboratory and the proper performance of all procedures. Develops and maintains all policies, procedures, and quality control protocols, ensuring they comply with regulatory requirements. Manages, supervises, and serves as professional role model to technical and clerical staff. Takes actions to control costs and optimize the department's financial position. Performs approved laboratory procedures in assigned licensure specialties, as required to meet workload demands. Establishes and maintains good working relationship with physicians, nursing staff, hospital administration, and other departments.
