Medical Laboratory Scientist
Looking for a new laboratory opportunity?
A healthcare organization in Chapel Hill is seeking an experienced MLS to support its clinical laboratory team.
Position Highlights
- Full-time laboratory opportunity
- Perform CLIA-defined testing and advanced laboratory procedures
- Work independently while serving as a technical resource
- Blood Bank responsibilities including Type & Screen, Antibody ID, DAT, eluates, phenotyping & antigen typing
- Experience with MTP, emergency release, irradiation & product modifications
- Perform QC, proficiency testing, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance
- Opportunities to train new employees and teach students
- Participate in special projects and process improvement
What We're Looking For
- MLS/MT: Bachelor’s in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science + ASCP/AMT certification
- Experience requirements vary by education/certification pathway
- Strong Blood Bank/Transfusion Medicine experience
- Able to work independently and make sound technical decisions
