Looking for a hands-on laboratory opportunity?
A healthcare organization outside of Oakland, CA is seeking a Laboratory Technologist to support testing in a remote or mobile laboratory setting.
Position Highlights
- Perform point-of-care testing in a remote/mobile setting
- Work across Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Molecular & Coagulation
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection
- Monitor quality control and troubleshoot instrumentation as needed
- Enter patient information, test orders, and results into the laboratory information system
- Maintain laboratory supplies, QC records, and required documentation
- Opportunity to operate a mobile laboratory delivery van when needed
What We're Looking For
- Laboratory experience with point-of-care testing preferred
- Comfortable performing venipuncture and capillary collections
- Strong attention to detail and specimen integrity
- Able to monitor QC and recognize abnormal or questionable results
- Comfortable troubleshooting equipment, computer, and client issues
- Able to work independently in a remote/mobile setting
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety and documentation procedures
