Core Lab Supervisor

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Pay Rate: $41.10 - $61.65 USD Hourly

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Operations Manager to oversee the clinical testing discipline of the Core Laboratory within the enterprise. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving optimization of resources, financial performance, growth, safety, teammate engagement, and quality within the laboratory operations. Strong leadership experience in Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Immunodiagnostics is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with pathologists and clinical and administrative leadership to ensure laboratory services support enterprise initiatives.
• Direct and oversee efficient operations while serving as a liaison to lab leadership.
• Maintain competency in all test systems and processes in the defined discipline and act as a subject matter expert.
• Implement performance improvement processes to enhance patient, teammate, and physician satisfaction.
• Plan and implement standards and systems to improve quality, consistency, efficiency, and timeliness.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and accreditation requirements.
• Develop effective communication strategies and provide excellent customer service.
• Ensure accuracy of test results, efficient operations, proper staffing, and resource utilization.
• Lead, coach, and develop the team, setting clear expectations for performance.
• Adhere to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) certification.
• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical laboratory services and operations.
• Strong knowledge and skills in Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Immunodiagnostics.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
