NEW Permanent Clinical Lab Supervisor Opportunity - Central Georgia

Job Summary:
Assumes responsibility for the technical operations of a specific laboratory section. Ensures all procedures are performed according to established policies and procedures. Supports the Lab Director/Manager and serves as supervisor over the assigned clinical area.

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday (No weekends or holidays)
• Evening Shift: 1:00 PM – 10:30 PM

Essential Functions:

• Manage implementation and maintenance of quality, efficiency, and safety within the section, ensuring continuous compliance with CAP standards
• Communicate deficiencies, progress of test development, team member concerns, and unusual occurrences to leadership
• Track and resolve problems proactively; ensure accuracy of test methods and instrumentation
• Review laboratory reports (including reference lab reports) for abnormal results and clerical errors before release
• Maintain adequate inventory and participate in cost analysis for current and prospective tests
• Oversee orientation and training of staff within the section
• Assign schedules and workloads; assist with workload evaluations
• Delegate responsibilities appropriately and ensure timely completion of assigned work
• Function as a bench technologist as needed to support workload

Physical Requirements:

• Work in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Exposure to biohazardous (infectious) materials and chemical, fire, and mechanical hazards
• Frequent standing, walking, stretching, stooping, bending
• Ability to lift light (20 lbs) to moderately heavy (up to 50 lbs) loads

Requirements:

• Certification in one of the following: MT (ASCP), MLS (ASCP), HTL (ASCP), CT (ASCP), or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a specific laboratory section

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Required)

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $85k– $122k annually
• Sign-on bonus available
