NEW Hematology Lead – Medical Technologist (MLS/MT) Opportunity in Central Georgia (DAY SHIFT)
Overview:
Seeking an experienced Medical Technologist to lead hematology and special chemistry functions in a fast-paced hospital laboratory. This role ensures accurate, timely test results while supporting staff training, quality, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform, review, and report lab tests per policies and procedures
- Lead training, orientation, and competency assessments for lab staff
- Review abnormal/critical results and take corrective action
- Troubleshoot equipment, QC issues, and workflow challenges
- Support lab operations, productivity, and supply management
- Assist with new technology implementation and process improvements
- Maintain compliance, documentation, and procedure manuals
- Foster strong communication and a positive team environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science (or equivalent)
- ASCP, AMT, AAB, NCA, or HHS certification (MLS/MT/CLS/CLT)
- 4+ years hospital lab experience (2+ years in special chemistry preferred)
