Job Title: Division Laboratory Director – Full-Time, Day Shift

Location: (Tennessee) – Relocation Considered

Employment Type: Permanent / Full-Time

Schedule: Monday – Friday, No Weekends

About the Role:
A leading healthcare laboratory services organization is seeking a Division Laboratory Director to oversee multi-site laboratory operations across Tennessee. This role focuses on providing operational leadership, strategic oversight, and consulting support to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and compliant laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage laboratory operations across multiple facilities within the division.

  • Coordinate with service line, hospital, and facility leadership to implement operational improvements and best practices.

  • Provide assessment, consulting, and oversight on laboratory quality, efficiency, and financial performance.

  • Support test menu and equipment platform implementation, reference testing utilization, and billing compliance.

  • Ensure regulatory readiness and ongoing accreditation standards are met.

  • Build and mentor high-performing teams of laboratory directors.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships across leadership, physician groups, and operational stakeholders.

  • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes impacting laboratory services.

  • Execute division and service line strategies to align with enterprise financial and operational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Laboratory Science required; Master’s in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.

  • Professional organization membership required.

  • Minimum 5+ years of recent experience at the director/manager level or laboratory consulting, preferably in multi-site laboratory operations on a national or regional scale.

  • Clinical laboratory experience, including Medical Technologist background, is required.

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare systems management, hospital/lab operations, financial management, and third-party reimbursement.

  • No employment gaps; ability to relocate for the right candidate.

  • Multi-site laboratory experience highly preferred.

  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 per local/state/federal regulations (unless exemption approved).

Additional Information:

  • Local TN candidates preferred but open to relocation for highly qualified applicants.
