Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Permanent Hire
- 12pm-9pm shift
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Laboratory Technologist operates under the guidance of the Laboratory Supervisor to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of diagnostic information to healthcare providers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducts bench technology procedures for processing patient samples in areas such as Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, and PCR testing.
- Evaluates patient history in conjunction with diagnostic findings.
- Executes and records quality controls, implementing corrective measures when necessary.
- Performs and documents routine equipment maintenance and operations.
- Inputs patient data into computer systems for electronic medical records and retrieves relevant information.
- Ensures proper disposal and documentation of hazardous waste.
- Performs other assigned duties.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Active NYS Clinical Technologist license mandatory.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- BS Degree or higher.
