Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Permanent Hire

  • 12pm-9pm shift

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Laboratory Technologist operates under the guidance of the Laboratory Supervisor to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of diagnostic information to healthcare providers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts bench technology procedures for processing patient samples in areas such as Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, and PCR testing.
  • Evaluates patient history in conjunction with diagnostic findings.
  • Executes and records quality controls, implementing corrective measures when necessary.
  • Performs and documents routine equipment maintenance and operations.
  • Inputs patient data into computer systems for electronic medical records and retrieves relevant information.
  • Ensures proper disposal and documentation of hazardous waste.
  • Performs other assigned duties.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Active NYS Clinical Technologist license mandatory.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • BS Degree or higher.

  • Possesses strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Works effectively in team settings.
  • Communicates efficiently with a diverse range of individuals.
