Laboratory Supervisor (Core Lab) — Nights
Norfolk, VA Area
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000 (for qualified candidates)
Shift: Third Shift (Nights)
Direct Hire | Full-Time
Overview:
An established hospital is seeking an experienced Laboratory Supervisor to lead Core Lab night operations. This role is responsible for daily workflow coordination, quality oversight, and supervision of lab staff in a fast-paced, multi-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and oversight of daily Core Lab operations

Supervise, mentor, and evaluate laboratory team members

Coordinate workflow, quality improvement, and resource utilization

Resolve customer service issues and support performance management
-
Assist with budgeting, projects, and operational initiatives

Serve as a technical resource and participate in bench work as needed

Support IT and operational needs across the lab
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemical, or Physical Science
-
ASCP or AMT certification required (discipline-specific)
-
Minimum 3 years of laboratory experience

Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Ability to work nights
