What You’ll Do

As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you’ll perform diagnostic testing and play a vital role in ensuring high-quality laboratory operations.

  • Perform testing in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, blood bank, and other lab sections

  • Process specimens and ensure accurate and timely reporting of results

  • Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments

  • Perform quality control and support quality improvement initiatives

  • Assist with method validations and maintain compliance with regulatory standards

  • Train new staff and support students during clinical rotations

  • May perform phlebotomy as needed

  • Collaborate with providers and healthcare staff to support patient care

Schedule

  • Full-time (80 hours bi-weekly)

  • Varied shifts, primarily days

  • Includes rotating weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage

What You’ll Need:

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related biological or chemical science with accredited clinical training consistent with CLIA high-complexity testing requirements.

Certification
National MLS certification (ASCP preferred) required within 6 months of hire.

Experience
Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
