Work Schedule
- Tues, Thurs, Fri: 11:00p-7:30a
JOB SUMMARY:
The individual in this role, a licensed Medical Technician, is accountable for daily sample processing tasks and performs standard procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Receive and process specimens as per department protocols
- Meet productivity expectations set by departmental guidelines
- Follow all laboratory safety precautions and procedures
- Assist with administrative tasks such as ordering supplies
- Produce, interpret, and report accurate test results
- Communicate section information to the appropriate personnel
- Conduct instrument maintenance and troubleshooting
- Assist in maintaining effective department QA programs
- Collaborate with other departments within the organization
- Adhere to Corporate Compliance Program and policies
EDUCATION & LICENSURE:
- Associate's degree in a relevant field or medical technology
- Valid ASCP or AMT certification
- Maintain continuing education for certification
REQUIREMENTS:
- One year of preferred job-related experience
- Students or recent graduates eligible for ASCP or AMT exams can apply
