NEW Testing Lab Operations Manager Opening

Location: Northern California/Silicon Valley Area

We’re seeking an experienced Testing Lab Operations Manager to lead a high-performing laboratory team in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role combines technical expertise, operational leadership, and team management to ensure high-quality testing, regulatory compliance, and efficient lab operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily lab operations across testing, product quality control, and operations support.

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of Clinical Laboratory Scientists, lab technicians, and supervisors.

• Oversee lab workflows, equipment maintenance, quality control, and supply management.

• Develop and implement SOPs, training programs, and competency assessments.

• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, accreditation standards, and lab safety protocols.

• Handle HR responsibilities including hiring, performance reviews, promotions, and terminations.

• Manage departmental budget, financial planning, and process improvement initiatives.

• Serve as a technical resource for lab instrumentation and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Life Science, or related field.

• CLS license required.

• 5–7 years of relevant clinical lab or blood center experience.

• 1–2 years of supervisory/management experience.

• Strong knowledge of immunohematology, chemistry, virology, blood banking, and lab quality systems.

• Proven leadership, analytical, and team-building skills.
