Job Description

Job Title: Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician – Generalist

Job Type: Full-Time

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality laboratory testing across multiple disciplines and ensure accurate, timely results that support patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to work in a dynamic clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing in areas including hematology, chemistry, immunology, microbiology, and urinalysis.

  • Prepare specimens, run assays, and maintain laboratory equipment.

  • Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and reliability.

  • Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, and OSHA regulations.

  • Document and report results in the laboratory information system (LIS).

  • Participate in quality control, quality assurance, and proficiency testing programs.

  • Assist with training new staff and ensuring proper lab protocols are followed.

Qualifications:

  • ASCP certification required (MLT or MT).

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.

  • Strong technical skills and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of laboratory safety standards and infection control procedures.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
