Clinical Laboratory Supervisor Needed in Poughkeepsie New York

NEW Clinical Laboratory Supervisor Full-Time | $45–$50/hour

A leading medical group is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced clinical lab. This is a full-time, exempt position combining leadership and hands-on bench work (approx. 50% of time) across chemistry, hematology, and PCR testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise clinical lab staff: scheduling, evaluations, and timekeeping

• Manage daily lab operations, including LIS/EMR interfaces and equipment maintenance

• Maintain regulatory compliance (NYSDOH, CAP, CLEP, etc.)

• Oversee QA/QC processes, calibrations, linearities, correlations, and proficiency testing

• Assist with test implementation, SOP updates, and statistical reporting

• Ensure ongoing staff competency and continuing education requirements are met

• Perform and review lab audits across all departments

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and current NYS Medical Technologist license

• 6+ years’ experience as a Medical Technologist

• Leadership experience in a NYS-certified lab preferred

• Familiarity with histology and microbiology a plus

• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
