A respected academic health system in New York State is looking to add a Cytotechnician to its pathology team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful diagnostic work and grow your skills in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process cytologic specimens for diagnostic evaluation

• Accurately document test results and perform quality control procedures

• Operate lab information systems to enter and verify specimen data and patient demographics

• Assist with specimen staining and slide preparation under licensed supervision

• Follow all lab protocols and maintain specimen integrity

• Support training of students, residents, and new staff

• Maintain lab equipment and adhere to safety and compliance standards

Qualifications:

• Completed education and training in Cytotechnology or a related field

• Eligible to work under the supervision of a NYSED-licensed laboratory supervisor

• Attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility in lab prep techniques

• Excellent communication and documentation skills

• Previous clinical cytology experience is a plus
